My final recommendation for a webcomic is Between Places. Head over there. The first thing you'll notice is how amazing Tiana's art is. The first time I saw it? I wondered how she found time to paint each and every panel on canvas, then scan it in. Believe it or not, though, she's doing that all in Photoshop!

Between Places would be a worthy read just for the art, but Tiana's skills as a writer are also exceptional. Her characters are people you can care about, her plotline tight and strong. Like Artemis Fowl, she makes use of the concept of mystic technology in a way that is both believable and fantastic.
