2nd Shift
Read Salt the Holly! By J Gray

I'm dedicating this week to letting people know about a few webcomics I feel are under read. The first is Salt the Holly by Amanda. Why read Salt the Holly, you ask?

  • It has adventure!
  • It has romance!
  • It has action!
  • It has blood and guts!
  • It has ninjas!
  • It has pirates!
  • It has toaster waffles!

Salt the Holly is the tale of a small group of friends who discover a hidden truth about one of the group's past. It starts off much like 2nd Shift, firmly ground in the real world, but departs, just like 2nd Shift, into wonderful tales of fancy. The writing is pretty top notch, honestly, and the characters interesting. You especially feel the romantic triangle (quadrangle, possibly!) that's formed.

Amanda's been brave, too. She's been putting out Salt the Holly for a while. Some might say her art is less than professional. Then again, the same is true of my art. However, the art gets the job done. It tells the story. Honestly, that's the beauty of webcomics. There are people out there, like Amanda, who have an amazing story to tell. The published comic world likely would never give her the chance. Here, she can tell that story and share it with the world.

Check out Salt the Holly. Seriously. You won't be sorry.
