You may have noticed that the look of the characters seems to be changing. That's because they are. 2nd Shift was started partially as a vehicle for me to improve my abilities, both as a writer and an artist. Part of that is experimenting with styles. Slowly, I'm getting towards where I want the characters to be. Today, for example, I'm pleased with how Az and Zoe's bodies turned out in panel 1, but not quite as pleased with how their faces turned out.

So, please bear with me. The art will keep improving (I hope) but there might be a bump or two on the road.

On a completely different note, this week's voting incentive has been posted! The art was done by Jessie Justice, creator of Diabolito Del Ring. That would be the only webcomic I know of dedicated to telling the story of dwarf luchadores (masked Mexican wrestlers). Jessie's a good friend and an amazing artist. He helped me with Zoe's pose in panel 1, showing me some tricks for making her look like she's perched up on the counter and not just leaning against it. Thanks, Jessie!
